The Telangana CM said that the government would take even a single complaint in this regard from any corner, seriously.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has reiterated his commitment and conviction to come out with a single window clearance industrial policy for the Government of Telangana.
The Chief Minister said that the government would ensure zero corruption, and that even a single complaint in this regard from any corner would be viewed seriously.
He said that as part of the single window clearance policy, the tax structure in other States would be studied, and at least 10% lesser taxes would be charged in Telangana.
The Chief Minister was interacting with representatives of the GMR Group at the Secretariat this afternoon.
Making a presentation, the GMR group said that it would build a high-class exhibition cum convention centre as part of the proposed Airport City near Shamshabad Airport.
GMR mentioned that the exhibition and convention industry was a complex amalgamation of varied economic activity across sectors.
The presentation covered critical success factors and focus areas to develop brand Hyderabad on a global scale.
The critical factors included developing a global networking destination, developing Hyderabad as a global city, smart urban infrastructure, strong international connectivity, promoting tourism, a global scale amusement park, making the city a medical tourism destination, and setting up an international financial services centre.
The GMR group mentioned that South Hyderabad was a high potential location for undertaking these developments.
The team proposed to build the Hyderabad Airport City in a world class manner, that would create 15,000 to 20,000 jobs. It also proposed developing the exhibition cum convention centre in about 50 acres of land comprising one lakh sq mts area, as a part of Airport City.
The proposed project cost would be Rs. 750 crores, and the group requested the State government's support.
Responding to the proposal, the Chief Minister said that the government would examine it and arrive at a decision.
The Chief Minister also suggested to the GMR group to give a thought to developing one more Airport towards the north of Hyderabad, an excellent hospital near Shamshabad airport, a world class theme park as well as an excellent nature cure centre.
Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao, Education Minister Jagadeeshwar Reddy, State Government Representative at New Delhi Venugopala Chary, MP Balka Suman, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister S Narsing Rao, Special Chief Secretary Pradeep Chandra, GMR Chairman G Mallikarjuna Rao, GMR CEO SGK Kishore and Chairman Airports Srinivas Bommidala were also present.
