Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has taken a decision to fill vacant posts in the Telangana Police department.
He has reportedly signed the file concerned giving a green signal for the recruitment process.
With this, a notification for filling over 9,000 posts may be issued very soon.
On Saturday, it was also announced that 8,360 vacancies and 510 posts would be filled in the Fire Services.
KCR also decided to cancel the 5km running race and to simplify the physical tests in this recruitment drive. He also said that 33% reservation for women in the civil department would be definitely implemented by the government.
For the mechanical posts, a trade test would be conducted like in the RTC.
The Chief Minister also decided that personality tests should be conducted for the candidates like in the Army recruitment process.
To the written test syllabus, the history of Telangana is being added.
