Rs 2 Crore, Plot For Nikhat Zareen, Esha Singh

After a prolonged silence and mounting criticism for that, the Telangana government is finally rewarding the super-achievers in style.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today announced Rs 2 crore in cash each to Nikhat Zareen for clinching the gold medal in the recently held Women's World Boxing Championship in Turkey, and Esha Singh for winning gold in the ISSF Junior World Cup Shooting event in Germany.

Upon the instructions of the CM, the government issued orders in this regard.

Apart from the cash prize, the government has also decided to allot residential plots to the two sports persons in Banjara Hills or Jubilee Hills.

The government also issued orders to award Rs 1 crore to Kinnera Metla artiste and Padmasri winner Darshanam Mogulaiah.

Upon the request of Mogulaiah, the State government has also taken a decision to allot a residential plot in B N Reddy Nagar Colony to him.
