Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut participated in the Green India Challenge and planted a sapling at the Shamshabad Panchavati Park on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the actress said that she was delighted to participate in the challenge and that it was a great initiative to create awareness about the importance of planting trees and protecting the environment.
"I am happy to contribute to this noble cause, and urge everyone to do their bit for the environment," Ranaut said.
She further nominated Rangoli Chandel, Ritu Ranaut and Anjali Chauhan for the challenge.
Later, Green India Challenge co-founder Raghava presented a Vriksha Vedam book to the actress.
Rajya Sabha Member Joginapally Santosh Kumar launched the Green India Challenge in 2019 to encourage citizens to plant saplings and taking responsibility for the environment.
