Privilege Motion Against Minister
The TDP accuses Krishna district in-charge Parthasarathi of violating the rights of MLAs, in allotting homes.

Telugu Desam Party MLA Payyavula Keshav, on Wednesday, stated that the party would move a privilege motion against Krishna district in-charge minister K Parthasarathi for violating the rights of MLAs during the allotment of houses.
Talking to media persons at the Assembly media point, he said that Parthasarathi had violated the rights of MLAs, allotting homes constructed for the poor and the backward classes to his party men.
However, Parthasarathi denies the TDP's charge that the houses were allotted to his henchmen.
He had said that 2,000 houses would be constructed for the poor, under the MLA's constituency funds, through Andhra Pradesh Housing Construction.
However, during the allotment of houses, the lists of beneficiaries were selected by the minister's henchmen instead of the TDP MLA representing the constituency, Payyavula alleged.
When K Parthasarathi was questioned in the House, the minister did not give a satisfactory reply, and stated that no irregularities have been taken place, said Payyavula.
In protest against Parthasarathi's answer, the TDP has now decided to move a privilege motion against him. A notice in this regard has already been sent to Speaker Nadendla Manohar.
Payyavula Keshav stated that the TDP would submit a CD to the Governor over his "arrogant" behavior in giving a reply, and seek his dismissal from the Cabinet.
Another TDP MLA, Rama Kotaiah, also alleged that irregularities had taken place in the allotment of houses constructed for the poor in Krishna district. Devineni Umamaheswara Rao was also present. (INN)
