Praja Shanti Party founder K A Paul visited the Telangana Assembly today.
Paul's visit assumed significance given that it was on the day that the Telangana government presented its annual budget, and there was a hue and cry in the House. He interacted with several officials and political leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Paul praised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He said that Reddy was a great leader, and that Telangana would change under his rule. He also said that the State's financial situation was going to dramatically improve from October, and that he along with Revanth Reddy would bring investments from the billionaires of the world.
Referring to the recent visit of Revanth Reddy to Davos and the comments on the CM's English there, he said that even Russian President Putin did not know English, but that Putin was recognized the world over as a powerful leader. He said that the criticism on Revanth Reddy's English was just the work of some foolish people.
Paul also alleged that corruption of Rs 12 lakh crore took place during the tenure of former CM K Chandrashekar Rao.
When asked from where he would contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Paul said that he would contest for the Vizag seat. He also made vituperative comments on Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, terming him a "waste fellow". Paul alleged that Jagan had borrowed Rs 10 lakh crore and turned Andhra Pradesh into a debt-ridden state.
