Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy, who had resigned after being anguished at the acts of vandalism by lawyers during their protests, politely declined to take back his resignation on Saturday, in spite of Chief Justice Nissar Ahmed Kakru's personal request for reconsideration.
Justice Reddy had resigned on Thursday after the
protest by lawyers had disrupted proceedings in his Court Hall. According to sources, the irate advocates had also misbehaved with him.
The Judge had then resigned, and, had remained steadfast in his decision since then.
Sources say that Chief Justice Kakru had held talks with the peeved Judge and persuaded him to take back his resignation.
Meanwhile, Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy had also called on the Judge at his residence, in an effort to persuade him to take back the resignation.
Justice Reddy has so far resisted their persuasive powers.
