A division bench of the Telangana High Court passed the orders while dealing with two PILs filed over the encounter.
Hyderabad | 9th December 2019
The Telangana High Court on Monday asked the State government to preserve the dead bodies of the four accused in the Disha rape and murder case who were all killed in an encounter, till Friday.
It also asked the State government to shift the dead bodies from the Mahabubnagar Medical College to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad.
A division bench of the HC passed the orders while dealing with two public interest litigations filed on the issue of the encounter.
During the course of the hearing of the case, the HC asked the Advocate General of the State if the State had followed the guidelines framed by the Supreme Court of India in encounter cases.
Replying to this, the AG told the court that the State had complied with all the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
This prompted the court to ask the AG to submit relevant evidence to support his claims.
The AG informed the court that the Supreme Court had heard a case related to the same case and had adjourned the matter till Wednesday, and urged the HC to therefore adjourn the matter till Thursday.
This prompted the HC to adjourn the hearing of the case to December 12.
