Jockey To Set Up Manufacturing Units In Ibrahimpatnam, Mulugu
The plants would produce one crore garments every year and create 7,000 jobs in Telangana, minister K T Rama Rao said.

Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao today announced that Page Industries, which makes the Jockey brand of innerwear, will be setting up garment manufacturing factories in Ibrahimpatnam and Mulugu, and that these would produce one crore garments every year and create 7,000 jobs in Telangana.
"Delighted to share that popular innerwear brand Jockey (Page Industries) will be setting up garment manufacturing factories in Ibrahimpatnam and Mulugu, producing 1 crore garments creating 7,000 jobs in the State," KTR tweeted on Wednesday.
"Hearty welcome and best wishes to the company as it embraces Telangana," KTR added.
In another tweet, the IT Minister said that he had received the Consul General of Germany, Michaela K?chler, when she was on her first visit to Hyderabad, on Wednesday.
Sharing the photos of the meeting on Twitter, the minister said that the two of them had discussed strengthening cooperation between Telangana and Germany in priority sectors like innovation, sustainable mobility, MSME and skilling.
"Great business opportunities for German companies in Telangana and Hyderabad. Central state with connections to all India. 5th largest city of India with highly skilled workers. Specialist in life sciences and production of vaccines. Fruitful talk with @KTRTRS (sic)," Kuchler later tweeted from the official handle of the German Consul.
