Dissident Congress MLA Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy today walked out of a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting chaired by Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka at a hotel in the city.
Speaking to media persons later, Reddy claimed that he had faced a lot of insults in the party in the past, and was continuing to even now, and that he had walked out of the CLP meeting to protest not being allowed to speak about the insults.
Naming TPCC president Revanth Reddy as the prime instigator, he alleged that the state party chief did not follow protocol and inform him about his (Revanth Reddy's) Medak district tour.
He claimed that he had faced similar insults in the past at the hands of the TPCC chief.
Jagga Reddy said that though wanted to raise the issue of the insults during the CLP meet, he was asked not to by the CLP leader.
He said that that left him with no option but to boycott the meeting.
Although Jagga Reddy planned to hold a press conference ahead of the meeting, the CLP leader reportedly asked him not to talk about the internal matters of the party to the media. This suggestion of the CLP leader prompted Jagga Reddy to cancel his press meet too.
The CLP meeting was attended by Congress MPs, MLAs, DCC presidents and other important leaders of the party.
