Jagga Reddy Gets Call From Komatireddy, But Won't Quit

The Sangareddy Congress MLA said he did receive a call from party colleague and MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who is likely to defect to the BJP.
Hyderabad | 17th June 2019
Congress MLA from Sangareddy Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy on Monday admitted to having received a phone call from his party colleague and Manugur MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy.

He, however, declined to reveal the details of his conversation with the latter.

He also asserted that no Congress leader was planning to join either the TRS or the BJP in the State.

In an informal chat with mediapersons, Jagga Reddy said that he was urging the party high command to appoint him as a Working President of the party so that he would not leave the party.

He said that there would be no harm even if there were 10 working presidents in the party.

While party workers were very clear about their commitment to the party, the leaders were in confusion, he added.
