Jagan Launches YSR Cheyootha Scheme
Under the scheme, the AP government will offer Rs 75,000 over four years to women of the state belonging to the SC, ST, BC and minority communities.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today launched the YSR Cheyoota scheme, aimed at empowering the women of the state, at his camp office.
Under the scheme, the state government will offer a financial assistance of Rs 75,000 over four years, at the rate of Rs 18,750 per annum, to women between the ages of 45 and 60, and belonging to the SC, ST, BC and minority communities of the state.
The CM credited the first instalment of Rs 18,750 today into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries by pressing a button.
The government has allotted Rs 47,000 crore in the annual budget for the implementation of the scheme.
It is envisaged that the scheme will benefit 25 lakh women of the state during the next four years.
