Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today announced an increase in the incentives being given to new mothers under the YSR Aarogya Aasara scheme.

The incentive being given to women who have undergone normal deliveries is being increased to Rs 5,000 from the existing Rs 3,000.

The incentive for women who undergo Cesarean surgeries has also been enhanced, to Rs 3,000 from the existing Rs 1,000.

Speaking in a meeting announcing these decisions, the CM also asked the officials to focus on the districts which had poor healthcare facilities, and improve the conditions within two weeks.

Likewise, he set a deadline of two weeks to officials to improve the conditions in all the Aarogyasri network hospitals, too.

He warned the officials of action if the conditions were not improved in the two weeks.
