After filing a memo on the 5th charge-sheet filed by CBI in his disproportionate assets case, YSRCP president and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today moved the Supreme Court for bail.
He had earlier filed a memo against the latest charge-sheet, asking the court to treat it as the final charge-sheet. Soon afterwards, he filed a bail petition with the Supreme Court.
Contending that CBI is needlessly dragging the case in the name of further investigation, the Kadapa MP's counsel argued that it is not fair on part of CBI to seek more time every time the bail petition comes up for hearing.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has adjourned to 30 April the bail application of Nimmagadda Prasad, who is one of the accused in Jagan's high-profile case.(INN)
