Information technology minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah was questioned by the Central Bureau Of Investigation at Dilkusha Guest House on Thursday, for about 8 hours, in connection with YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy's disproportionate assets case.
According to sources, the CBI questioned Ponnala over the controversial GOs No. 146 and 94, that were issued during 2004-09 when he was the major irrigation minister in the cabinet of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
The GOs pertain to the supply of water from the river Krishna to some cement firms, which, in turn, allegedly made investments in the companies floated by Jagan.
Along with Ponnala Lakshmaiah, the CBI also quizzed former irrigation secretary Aditya Nath Das, over the issue of the GOs.
According to sources, the CBI is likely to question Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Aditya Nath Das on Friday, too. However, Ponnala did not speak to the media after the CBI questioning. (INN)
