Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today announced that he would launch the scheme for distribution of house pattas on July 8, 2020.
He said that the government would give away 29 lakh to 30 lakh house pattas to the landless poor of the state, and that the program was of utmost importance to the state government.
He made these remarks during a review meeting held at his camp office on the issue.
The CM examined the district-wise status of the house pattas in the meeting. The collectors and SPs of all the districts of the state attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM asked the officials to focus on the land acquisition possession and the plots' development. He said that the selection of the beneficiaries through the lottery method would have to be completed immediately, and that the officials should display the list of the winning beneficiaries at all the village secretariat offices.
He said that he would visit the villages after the decrease in the intensity of Covid-19, and that nobody should raise their hands before him during his visits saying that they didn't get the house pattas.
