With Jagan's arrest being speculated as imminent, the state is waiting for bated breath for news from Dilkusha Guest House, where the Kadapa MP is being quizzed by the CBI about his alleged disproportionate assets. His private vehicle, that would take him home after 6pm for the first 2 days of his questioning, is nowhere in sight on Sunday.
Police security has been intensified at Dilkusha and near his Lotus Pond residence, as the media and crowds have been waiting at these places for breaking news.
Meanwhile, Section 144 has been imposed in various places in Andhra Pradesh, in anticipation of law-and-order issues in case Jagan is arrested. The Hyderabad police have all been denied leave from their duty. 3 platoons of policemen has been sent to Vijayawada, and there is heavy patrolling in Jagan's home turf, Kadapa. There is a bus bandh going on in Guntur.
In Hanumakonda, Jagan loyalist Kondru Murali has been taken into house arrest. YSR Congress Party workers have been arrested in East Godavari.
