Jagan Announces Pathikonda Candidate For 2019 Polls

The YSR Congress boss announced Cherukulapadu Sridevi Reddy, wife of murdered Cherukulapadu Narayana Reddy, as the party's candidate for the constituency.

YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy created a flutter by announcing the party's first candidate for the 2019 elections, almost 20 months in advance.

As part of his walkathon across Andhra Pradesh, the 6-month "Praja Sankalpa Yatra", Jagan announced on Saturday that he would field Cherukulapadu Sridevi Reddy as the party's candidate for the Pathikonda constituency.

It may be mentioned here that political opponents are alleged to have killed YSRCP's Pathikonda in-charge Cherukulapadu Narayana Reddy in May of this year. Sridevi Reddy is his wife.

On Saturday, Jagan's walkathon went through Cherukulapadu and Krishnagiri to Ramakrishnapuram.
