Former minister and senior Congress leader J C Diwakar Reddy may quit electoral politics.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises on Saturday, JC dropped enough hints that he might not contest the next elections. Although he made it categorical that he would not contest the elections again on the Congress party ticket, he also announced that he was not inclined to join either the TDP or the YSR Congress party.
JC said that by giving its nod to the Telangana Bill, the Centre has made Seemandhra people realise that they are living in a rented house. He said that instead of thinking about Hyderabad, Seemandhra people should now focus on building on their own capital so that their taxes can be used for its development. He said he was quite upset with the division of the state and also the denial of Rayala Telangana.
"Out of affection, we called Sonia Gandhi 'Amma', but she kicked us as 'Ambha'," he remarked. (INN)
