Communist Party Of India state secretary K Narayana, on Saturday, asked Labour minister D Nagender to clarify whether "he was a minister or a rowdy".
Talking to reporters at Makhdoom Bhavan, Narayana condemned the behaviour of Danam Nagender over the issue of the ISKCON temple at Banjara Hills, and said that "such an attitude does not suit a cabinet minister".
Demanding that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy take action against all tainted ministers and those facing criminal cases, he demanded that Danam be removed from the cabinet as well.
The CPI secretary also expressed wonder over the statement of Home minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy, who reportedly said that Danam was like her brother - he questioned how the Home minister could call a minister who behaved like a "rowdy" her brother.
Narayana also alleged that the state government was trying to divert the natural resources of Telangana to other regions. He said that the people of the region want a Telangana state in its original form, with all natural resources intact. (INN)
