IP Facilitation Cell For Entrepreneurs, Innovators
The CII, in partnership with the Telangana government, has started an IP Facilitation Cell to provide IP related services to entrepreneurs and innovators.

The Telangana unit of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with the State government, has started an IP Facilitation Cell to provide IP facilitation services to entrepreneurs and innovators.
The cell, through its empanelled IPR attorney and in-house IP experts, will offer counselling and guidance to all inventors and startups on all IP issues; and help inventors, MSMEs, academia and startups file IPR applications and offer services to them till the registration of the applications.
The cell will also offer assistance on IP management, IP audit and IP policy, and help protecting traditional products through geographical indication.
D Raju, CII Chairman, said that the IP Facilitation Cell had been doing a commendable job elsewhere, and had facilitated 171 IPRs - 16 patents, 91 trademarks, 38 designs and 26 copyrights - in 2019.
Subhajit Saha, CII Director, urged industry and academia to avail themselves of the unique services of the IP facilitation cell to increasing IP filings from Telangana.
