Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today declared that his government would regularize illegal structures and buildings in all municipalities across the state.
Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday, KCR said that the state government had decided to clear the pending regularization of all buildings.
He was still addressing the problems inherited from the previous governments, he said.
Speaking about other initiatives, the CM said that works worth Rs 200 crores had been sanctioned during the Swachch Telangana drive attended by Governor E S L Narasimhan and himself.
He reiterated that nominated posts in Telangana would be filled soon. He said that the Chairmen posts of market committees, temples and others would be filled without further delay.
Stating that Muslims would get 12% reservation as promised, KCR alleged that the previous governments had ignored minorities' welfare, and that there was a need to lend a helping hand to them to enable them to enter the mainstream.
Attributing the pathetic condition of the RTC to negligence by the previous governments, he said that efforts were on to put it on the right path to achieve growth gradually.
KG-to-PG free education would be implemented from the next academic year after consulting subject experts, intellectuals and professors, and English would be promoted in a big way to enable the next generation to benefit from more opportunities.
He said that the government was committed to offering free intensive education.
He also vowed to protect the lives of the people in the villages by encouraging cheap liquor to replace illicit and spurious liquor in the state, despite the Opposition parties screaming themselves hoarse against the move.
"We urged the Centre on tax devolution to Telangana and implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act to get Telangana its rightful share. The TRS government has written some 50 letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the state's issues of power supply, irrigation projects and others," he said.
He also said that the government had ordered 25,000 autos for garbage removal by the GHMC.
