Illegal Structures Main Reason For Water-Logging: TRS
Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said an all-party meeting would be called for the removal of illegal structures which were causing the water-logging in Hyderabad during the rains.

Expressing concern over the rain-related deaths in Hyderabad, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that his government would call an all-party meeting to decide on the removal of illegal structures which were causing water-logging in the twin cities during the rains.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat, Yadav accused the previous governments of neglecting the illegal structures that came up on nalas and elsewhere, which were adding to the rain-related woes and causing inundation of roads. The water-logging was only because of the illegal structures, he claimed. Since it needed strong political will and action to dismantle them, the government was planning to call an all-party meeting, he said.
Yadav said that he had never seen such heavy rainfall, which continued for about four and half hours continuously in Hyderabad last night, in his life. He also appreciated the GHMC, the HMWWSB, the police and other concerned departments for taking up immediate rescue and relief operations after the heavy downpour.
He appealed to the people to remain alert and not to venture outside as there was a warning of possible heavy rains in the next two to three days, too.
