Won't Be CM Ever As Naidu Is Fittest: Balakrishna
In the context of the Revanth Reddy case, Balakrishna asserted that Naidu would be the CM forever, and that he (Balakrishna) would always work under him.
In the wake of news reports that TDP MLA from Hindupur and prominent Tollywood hero Nandamuri Balakrishna would step into the shoes of Nara Chandrababu Naidu as the Andhra Pradesh CM if the latter were served a notice by the ACB in the "note-for-vote" case, the former broke his silence on Monday and said that the question of anybody else becoming Chief Minister did not arise as the TDP supremo was functioning efficiently as the Chief Minister due to his vast administrative and political experience.
Speaking to mediapersons at a function at the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Balakrishna, who is also the brother-in-law of Chandrababu Naidu, said that the TDP president was alone capable of steering the residual state towards monumental development and striving for the welfare of the people.
Naidu was working very efficiently as Chief Minister and party president, he added.
It may be mentioned here that when the "note-for-vote" case surfaced, there were reports in a section of the media that Chandrababu Naidu would step down as Chief Minister owing to the grave charges against him, and either Balakrishna or Ashok Gajapathi Raju or Lokesh Naidu would take over the reigns of AP.
Brushing aside the media speculation, Balakrishna asserted that Naidu would be the CM forever, and he (Balakrishna) would always work under his leadership.
Balakrishna also announced that he would soon establish a cancer hospital in Andhra Pradesh. (NSS)
