Minor Irrigation Minister T G Venkatesh stated that he would suppress the Telangana statehood movement if he was made the Chief Minister.
Speaking to media persons at the Secretariat media point here on Friday, Venkatesh said that the Telangana agitation could be stopped if handled differently, and he could do so, if he was made the CM.
He said that the problems being faced by the people in the Telangana region could be solved only in united Andhra Pradesh.
However, he praised CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy for his efforts to keep the state united.
Venkatesh also announced that he would participate in the Chalo Delhi agitation of the APNGOs, along with the one lakh people demanding that the Centre keep the state united. (INN)
