A road accident involving two trucks claimed two lives on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Raviryala of Ranga Reddy district.
The truck which was going towards Pedda Amberpet from Shamshabad at a very high speed hit a parked lorry.
The driver of the truck and one other person died in the incident.
A native of Bihar by name Umesh sustained serious injuries. He was stuck in the wreckage of the truck's engine, and rescue officials removed him after intense effort for three hours.
The injured were rushed to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the parked lorry ran away from the accident spot.
The police booked a case in the incident and are investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, in another tragic incident, a mother and daughter committed suicide by jumping into a flood canal.
The duo left their house after having an altercation with their family members on Saturday.
The bodies of the two were fished out of the canal at Atmanagar.
The victims have been identified as 28-year-old Vanaja and 6-year-old Saanvi.
