The Hyderabad police today arrested five men for allegedly planning to execute a murder.
The Hyderabad police today arrested five men and seized one country-made pistol, five live rounds, four knives, two iron rods, a black Activa, a Redmi Note 12 Pro cell phone and a two-wheeler from them, for allegedly planning to execute a murder. They also detected a robbery case, and executed four non-bailable warrants.
The accused were identified as:
1. Shaik Irfan Ahmed alias Shooter Irfan, resident of Kismatpura, Rajendra Nagar (rowdy-sheeter of Rajendra Nagar PS)
2. Mohd Arif alias Don Arif alias Yasir Don, welder of Peram Cheruvu, Kali Mandir
3. Mohd Akbar Pasha alias Tabar alias Abbu, automobile electrician of Mohammed Nagar, Balapur (rowdy-sheeter of Madannapet PS)
4. Syed Abdul Raheem Quizar Yaqoobi alias Khezeer, worker at Madani Hotel, Engine Bowli and resident of Dabeerpura (rowdy-sheeter of Mirchowk PS), and
5. Shaik Ismail alias Shaik Ismail Adil alias Adil of Baghdad Colony, Langer House (rowdy-sheeter of Langer House PS).
The police said that there were long-pending NBWs in several cases against Shaik Irfan Ahmed, a notorious rowdy-sheet of the Rajendra Nagar PS who was involved in many bodily and property offences. Due to previous enmity with Shaik Ismail, he hatched a conspiracy to eliminate him, and procured a pistol and five live rounds for Rs 20,000 from Nanded for the purpose.
He contacted his friends Mohd Arif, Mohd Akbar Pasha and Syed Abdul Raheem Quizar Yaqoobi, and informed them of his plan to eliminate Shaik Ismail and asked for their help.
Irfan Ahmed and Mohd Arif had also committed a robbery recently, and were absconding since.
They were arrested by from the Shah Inayath Gunj area along with the arms in their possession.
Simultaneously, the police also arrested Shaik Ismail, also allegedly a criminal rowdy-sheeter with over 16 murder, robbery and other cases to his name in the tri-commissionerate area. In January 2024, he murdered one of his associates Mubarak Sigar (a rowdy-sheeter of Balapur, Rachakonda). He was recently released from jail and was found in possession of a knife with an intention to commit more offences. In this regard a case was registered in the Langer House PS on May 30, 2024.
S Rashmi Perumal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Commissioner's Task Force, Hyderabad, said that further investigation was underway in the case, and that strict action would be taken by the police. She also requested the people to inform the police regarding any criminal/rowdy behavior by rowdy-sheeters or other anti-social elements so as to effectively curb the same and create a deterrent effect.
