Hyderabad Police Busts Fake New Delhi Job Racket

Two persons belonging to Laxminagar, New Delhi, were arrested by the Hyderabad Police for floating a fake company named "AS Group Consultancy" in the national capital and cheating job aspirants in connivance with four others.

According to the Cyberabad police, the main accused Rahul Kaurav, 23, and Arjun Singh, 22, of West Guru Angad Nagar, Laxminagar, New Delhi, called complainant Shravan Kumar Reddy of Suraram colony, Jeedimetla, in November, and informed him that he was selected for a job in Indigo Airlines, and asked him to pay Rs. 21,150 towards security deposit. He also sent him a PayTM bar code for the payment.

The police said that believing the message, Reddy checked his mail and sent the amount on November 25, and Rs. 12,000 on November 28, 2016. Later, another person called him and introduced himself as HR in Indigo Airlines and sent his account details in the name of Malkit Kaur, and asked him to pay the amount step by step. The complainant paid a total of Rs. 1,84,770.

Later, when there was no response from the accused to his calls, Shravan lodged a complaint with the police on January 3, 2017, detailing the transactions.

The police launched the investigation and traced the accused and nabbed them.
