Hyderabad Police Bust TOEFL Racket, 11 Held
A gang arranged helpers for candidates to write the TOEFL online test at the IP zone office in Vikrampuri Colony.

The West Zone team of the Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s Task Force has arrested 11 persons who orchestrated a racket involving the online Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
On January 31, sleuths of the Commissioner's Task Force apprehended 11 persons including one S K Wajid Basha and his friend Iftequaruddin alias Afroz who arranged helpers for candidates to write the TOEFL online test at the IP zone office in the C V R Plaza at Vikrampuri Colony in Secunderabad.
They charged Rs 1 lakh per candidate for the same.
The police also apprehended six students and three impersonators, who were taking the TOEFL online test in place of the original candidates.
The other accused who were arrested are Mohd Rafi Ahmed Taha, Bhupesh Sharma, S Rama Krishna, Md Abdul Rasheed, Md Sarfaraz Hussain, S Kanishka, M Vishnu Bhai Patel, Krupal Kumar Patel and Anthar.
The police also seized Rs 88,000 in cash, 10 cell phones, six student attendance rosters, six student confidentiality statements for the TOEFL iBT test forms, and other material.
The arrested accused persons, along with the seized material, were handed over to the Karkhana Police Station for necessary action.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of DCP Task Force B Limba Reddy, Inspector A P Anand Kumar, Sub-Inspectors M Prabhaka Reddy, D Jalender Reddy, M Venkateshwar Goud and P Mallikarjun, and other staff of the West Zone Task Force team. (INN)
