Man Arrested For Selling Adulterated Chilli Powder
Rooparam Khatri was selling adulterated chilli powder made using low-quality red chillies and mixed with toxic red colours and oil.

Sleuths from the Commissioner's Task Force, Central Zone Team, today raided a residence in Osmangunj, within the Afzalgunj police station limits, and apprehended a Rooparam Khatri alias Rupesh hailing from Badmer, Rajasthan.
He was found to be producing and selling adulterated chilli powder using low-quality red chillies and mixing toxic red colours and oil, and packaging it in counterfeit Swastik brand sachets, thereby violating the Copyright Act.
He was selling this adulterated product, which poses a severe risk to public health, with the label of a genuine brand to customers, to gain easy profits illegally.
The police seized adulterated chilli powder, red chillis, fake empty Swastik brand sachets, machinery and other items valued at Rs 4,00,000 from Rupesh.
Khatri, along with the seized materials, was handed over to the SHO of the Afzalgunj police station.
Khatri was previously involved in the garments business. In pursuit of quick money he set up a chilli powder manufacturing mill, including packing and sealing machinery, at his residence in Risala Abdullah, Osmangunj.
