Hyderabad is gearing up to host the Miss World Pageant 2025 in grand style.
Special arrangements have been made at Shamshabad airport to welcome the beauty queens arriving from over 120 countries, and the influx of foreign representatives is expected to increase from today. Special lounges and help desks have been set up at the airport to accommodate them.
Authorities have planned a traditional Telangana-style welcome for the international delegates. Welcome arches featuring Telangana's tourist attractions and cultural symbols have been installed, and the tourism department has prominently displayed the slogan Telangana Jaroor Aana ("do visit Telangana"), creating an inviting atmosphere across the city.
Meanwhile, contestants from various countries have begun arriving in Hyderabad. Among the early arrivals are Maria Amelia Antonio from Portugal, Jutta Ama Pokuhaa Addo from Ghana and Jasmine Gerhard from Ireland.
Miss South Africa Zoyalize Jansen van Rensburg, Miss Brazil Jessica Scandiuzzi Pedroso, Miss World Chairperson and CEO Julia Evelyn Morley and Miss Canada Emma Deanna Cathryn Morrison have also landed in Hyderabad.
The majority of the contestants are expected to arrive starting May 7. On May 10, Miss World Chairperson Julia Morley will review the event preparations and coordinate with government officials ahead of the opening ceremony at the Gachibowli indoor stadium.
