Commissioner's Devotion Caused Change In Plans

It has been reported that the bombers' initial target had been the Sai Baba temple area in Dilsukhnagar. This plan, however, had to be given up due to Hyderabad Commissioner Anurag Sharma's visit to the temple, which occurred a mere 15 minutes before the bombs at a bus stop and a tiffin centre went off, killing 16 people and injuring 119 others.

According to the NIA, the attackers had initally planned on planting three bombs at the temple. However, the tight security accompanying the commissioner caused them to change their plan.
