Bikes Catch Fire At Malakpet Metro Station

A massive fire broke out today near the Malakpet Metro station.

Several bikes parked under the station caught fire, and five bikes were completely burnt within seconds.

Upon seeing thick smoke and flames, people in the neighbourhood panicked, and some fled the scene.

Several vehicle users however also stopped to witness the fire, causing a massive traffic jam at the station.

Upon receiving the information, the police and fire tenders rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire. The police also cleared the traffic jam.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
