Hyderabad-based human rights activist and domestic violence crusader Ekta Viiveck Verma, Founder of the Invisible Scars Foundation, was awarded the Amazing Indian Award 2025, joining 12 unsung heroes from across the country recognised for their extraordinary service to society.
The award was presented in New Delhi by Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya, Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports.
Instituted by Times Now, the award celebrates individuals whose courage, compassion and commitment have transformed lives.
Ekta, a Domestic Violence & Abuse (DVA) Specialist, Certified PoSH Trainer and Chevening Gurukul Fellow, has reportedly been a tireless advocate for the rights and dignity of women facing domestic abuse. Through the Invisible Scars Foundation, she has worked to provide shelter, legal aid, livelihood support and emotional healing to survivors.
The jury for the Amazing Indian Awards 2025 included Neerja Birla, Padmaja Ruparel, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Prasoon Joshi and Ashishkumar Chauhan.
