Former Health Minister of Telangana Etala Rajender today said that his constituency, Huzurabad, would soon go on to become a starting point for another "movement" in the state - one against the misrule of its current rulers.
The former minister made these remarks at a roadshow in his constituency which was organised in Kamalapuram mandal's Shambunipally area.
At the program, he told the people of his constituency that he was visiting them to seek their blessings for his future.
In a veiled attack on the leaders of the TRS, the leader said that "liars" could not stop the people of Huzurabad from raising their voices against wrongs and urged the people to "breathe new life into the self respect of Telangana" by raising their voices against wrongdoing and injustice.
He added that although some people would only "parrot" the scripts sent to them from the Pragathi Bhavan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's camp office, and that the pink party would try to "buy" the public representatives in his constituency to protect its interests, the people of Huzurabad would not support the party.
"The people of Huzurabad, I am confident, will vote against the state government. I promise that I will fight for the rights of the unemployed youth and for the self respect of Telangana, a state for whose formation I devoted 19 years. Though I will resign from my position of MLA soon, I will continue to work for you. Knowing all this, I trust that the highly sensitised people of Huzurabad will make the correct political decisions when the time comes," Rajender said.
