Hundreds of students and youth participated in "Harithon - The Green Run" organised by the Plant 3 Protection Alliance (P3PA), an NGO, at People's Plaza, Necklace Road, on Sunday.
The Harithon, inaugurated by Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, was aimed at creating awareness among the people to follow eco-friendly living for a better quality of life and green commuting.
The 5 km run started at People's Plaza, passed through P V Ghat and Jala Vihar, and concluded at People's Plaza.
Hundreds of enthusiastic students of schools and colleges, employees of corporate companies, and other youth participated in the run.
"P3PA has come up with many initiatives to achieve its objective of promoting the importance of eco-friendly living for a better tomorrow. Some of them are mass plantations, cleaning campaigns, green runs, distribution of organic shirts and green exhibitions," said Harithon chairperson Sanjeev Ravadi. (INN)
