6 Held For Communal Attacks
The accused are followers of an organization called 'Hindu Vahini', and attacked people for slaughtering cows during Bakrid.

The City Police on Sunday arrested 6 people who were allegedly responsible for the attacks at different places in the city in which 8 people were injured.
The arrested accused – S Sadanand, Shakti Vinod, K Unni Krishna, Prabha Bhargav, Surya Vamshi Santosh and Panduga Kalyan - are aged between 21-27 years, and most of them are students.
Police also seized 3 motor cycles, 3 rods, one knife and 6 cell phones, that were used in the attacks, from their possession.
According to the police, the accused are followers of an organization called 'Hindu Vahini', and attacked people of another community on the pretext that they had slaughtered cows during the Bakrid festival.
On 8 November, they gathered at Baghlingampally Park along with their weapons, and hatched the plan to attack the people from the other community.
On the same day, they all gathered at night at about 10pm at Tilaknagar X Roads, from where they started towards Nimboliadda.
On the same night, they attacked youth at different places, injuring 8 people. The attacks were carried out at Harraspenta in Nimboli Adda, Narayanguda, Baghlingampally, Balamrai and Bowenpally.
The police were alerted of the attacks, and considering the seriousness and sensitivity of the issue, the Task Force team was asked to assist in the investigation and arrest the accused. (INN)
