The Hyderabad High Court has rejected the plea by Andhra Pradesh MLA Roja, of the YSR Congress, to grant a stay on the suspension from the Assembly for one year awarded to her.

Roja had appealed to the High Court to grant a stay on the Andhra Pradesh Assembly decision.

The High Court however issued a notice to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly secretary asking him to submit a counter-affidavit on the petition by Roja.
