Heavy rains accompanied by thunders lashed several parts of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Tuesday morning.
Commuters had a tough time as several main roads were clogged with water.
The rains lashed L B Nagar, Dilsukhnagar, Kothapet, Tarnaka, the Osmania University area, Lalaguda, Habsiguda, Nacharam, Mallapur and Secunderabad. Several low-lying areas in the city were flooded.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned the city and the State of more heavy rains during the next 48 hours.
As per the IMD, today, Nalgonda received 6 cm, Hyderabad 3 cm, Medak 3 cm, Adilabad 2 cm, Karimnagar 2 cm, Mahabubnagar 2 cm, Warangal 2 cm, Nizamabad 1.5 cm, Rangareddy 3.2 mm and Khammam 4.8 mm of rain.
