2 Struck By Lightning In State

Heavy rains and gale disrupted normal life in many parts of Andhra Pradesh, while two persons were killed when lightning struck them.

Two persons were killed in Prakasam district in Marturu and Korisapadu mandals, when lightning struck them while they were working in their fields.

Many parts of the state had witnessed gales accompanied by heavy rains. There was rain in Hyderabad as well, leading to a dip in the mercury level.

Darsi, Markapuram, Addanki, Marturu, Balikurava mandals in Prakasam district witnessed heavy rains and speedy winds.

In Guntur district, too, heavy rains disrupted normal life in Narsaraopeta, Surepalli, Vinukonda, Macherla, Achampeta, Rompicharla and Naragam. (INN)
