Many roads of the state capital were inundated, and low-lying areas witnessed huge inflows of flood water.
The strong gales that accompanied the rains uprooted trees at some places.
The areas that witnessed the most heavy rain are Banjara Hills, L B Nagar, Hayatnagar, Dilsukhnagar, Mehdipatnam, Masab Tank, Tolichowki, Malakpet, Ameerpet, Begumpet, Abids, Koti, Secunderabad, Uppal and Panjagutta.
