Harish Rao Flays Opposition For Spreading "Lies"
Minister T Harish Rao today criticised the Opposition for "trying to make false charges" against the welfare and development programs of the state government.
Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao today criticised the parties of the Opposition for "trying to make false charges" against the welfare and development programs being implemented by the state government.
He participated in a program at Gajwel where he distributed food security cards, and Kalyan Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak cheques among beneficiaries.
Speaking at the program, Rao said that the TRS regime was not one that worked only for votes. Saying that the government was truly committed to the development and welfare of the state and the people, he assured the public that the government would always prioritise the interests of the people.
He accused the preceding Congress and TDP governments of undivided Andhra Pradesh for "failing" to implement any welfare schemes in the last seventy 70 years.
"Unlike the preceding governments of undivided AP which had neglected the people of the region, after just seven years, the TRS has been able to prove its commitment to welfare. Our government has been implementing many welfare schemes that benefit the poor and other disempowered sections of society," the leader added.
"Our government is strengthening people through its prop-poor programs. We will continue to implement such programs. Irrespective of politic allegiances and beliefs, all those in need benefit from our support schemes. The parties of the Opposition should stop meddling in these affairs and should avoid levelling false charges against us," he asserted.
