Telangana Rashtra Samithi senior leader T Harish Rao on Sunday claimed that his party would form the government in Telangana on its own.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad, Rao said that the TRS would not only emerge as the single largest party, but would also win a majority of seats in Telangana.
He predicted that several stalwarts of the Congress party who were in the race for the Chief Minister's post, would face a humiliating defeat in their own bastions.
He added that several other senior Congress leaders would also lose the elections.
He dismissed speculations of a hung Assembly in Telangana, and claimed that the TRS would not need the support of any other party to form the government.
Rao said that the TRS would ensure a fast pace of development in the Telangana region, and that all the promises made in the party's manifesto would be fulfilled. (INN)
