Senior TRS leader and Telangana's Finance Minister T Harish Rao today condemned the comments made by former minister Etala Rajender against his party.
In a press release, the minister expressed serious displeasure at Rajender's words, and said that all the charges the latter had levelled against the pink party were motivated by "ulterior motives".
"I will remain with the TRS till my last breath and serve it forever. Rajender served the party less and enjoyed himself more after securing various top posts through his association with it. To resolve his personal issues, he should neither drag my name through the mud nor should he sully the name of our party. There is no truth in his comments and charges. Moreover, we will not suffer any losses due to his exit," Rao railed.
"As a committed soldier and disciplined activist of the TRS, I will work for the ruling party. TRS boss and CM K Chandrashekar Rao is my guide and guru, and is equal to my father. Whatever he says, I will follow for the party's growth. I will stay put. I have repeatedly said this on several platforms. Rajender cannot take my name to protect and further his political career. It is up to Rajender to join any party he wishes to. The TRS will not lose anything. Though Rajender has said that I have had run-ins with the TRS high command and have faced insult at their hands, there is no truth in these statements. My duty is to strengthen the party and follow what the party leadership says. I will do so," he said.
