Hyderabad | 4th September 2022
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan today visited the Hyderabad-based NIMS and distributed Rs. 10,000 each as financial aid to the families of each of the victims of the recently botched-up family planning surgeries held at the Ibrahimpatnam area hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that the deaths of four patients was not an ordinary issue, and that an inquiry was underway into the tragic incident and that the reasons behind the deaths would come out in the inquiry report. She said that she was of the opinion that the four women died due to infections after the surgeries.

She warned the authorities of the health department of the State to not allow a repeat of such incidents in the future. She said that it was criminal to play with the lives of the people in order to achieve targets.

She also said that the other patients admitted to the hospital were satisfied with the treatment being provided by the authorities.
