Telangana and AP Governor E S L Narasimhan on Thursday expressed confidence that the dispute going on between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh over the sharing of water would be resolved amicably.
Speaking to media persons after holding a Praja Darbar at the Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Deepavali, the Governor said that he had discussed with the Chief Secretaries of both the States, the ongoing water dispute.
He suggested that both the States hold talks to resolve the dispute.
He said that the decision of the Krishna River Board should be taken into consideration for an amicable solution.
The Governor also wished the people of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh a happy and prosperous Deepavali. (INN)
