Government Responsible For Teacher's Suicide Attempt: Congress
AICC Secretary Vamshichand Reddy today reacted sharply to the suicide attempt at Ravindra Bharathi of a private school teacher from Ranga Reddy district.
AICC Secretary and former MLA Ch Vamshichand Reddy today reacted sharply to the suicide attempt at Ravindra Bharathi of a private school teacher Nagulu from Kadthal mandal of Ranga Reddy district demanding employment for himself.
Speaking to media persons, Reddy said that he was praying for the speedy recovery of the teacher, and alleged that the state government was responsible for the suicide attempt.
He said that the people of the state were increasingly of the view that there had been no benefits for them even after statehood for Telangana due to the "anti-people and anti-employee" policies of the state government.
He also said that the extreme step taken by Nagulu reflected the status of the private school teachers and college lecturers of the state.
He said that the teachers were leading their lives in a precarious manner as they had not been getting their salaries ever since the lockdown was imposed in the state.
He alleged that the state government did not respond to the problems being faced by the teachers despite the organisation of several agitation programs.
He demanded that the government come to the rescue of all the private teachers in the state.
He also assured the people of the state that the Congress would stand by them and fight for their rights.
