Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today announced that notifications would be issued shortly to fill vacancies for teachers and policemen, and for other openings in the state government.
"Primary information suggests that there are about 50,000 vacancies in the state in several departments. We have to fill them," he said.
Rao then instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to compile a list of such job vacancies in all the relevant departments of the state.
"There are thousands of vacancies for the posts of teachers and police personnel. Collect the details about the vacant posts, and calculate how many employees are needed for each department. After compiling this information, release the notifications to fill the vacancies, at the earliest," the CM instructed Kumar.
