Badminton national coach Pullela Gopichand today called on Nimmagadda Prasad at Chanchlguda jail.

Prasad is accused in the VANPIC land allocation case, and is in jail. Gopichand hails from the same social caste as that of Prasad. It was understood that the two are family friends.

Gopichand said that he had just called on the Nimmagadda, and that "it was a causal visit and no significance needs to be added to it." (INN)
