Golconda Bonalu On July 4
Minister T Srinivas Yadav said that the Telangana government had made all the necessary arrangements for the traditional Bonalu festival in Hyderabad.

Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today said that the State government had made all the necessary arrangements to conduct the traditional Bonalu on a grand scale in the city.
After a review meeting with officials, Srinivas said that the government had allotted Rs 15 crore for the celebrations of the festival commencing on July 4 and lasting till the end of the month.
The minister said that Bonalu would be celebrated at the Golconda Fort on July 4, and that all the relevant departments were asked to coordinate for smooth and peaceful conduct of the same.
The Bonalu festival would be held at the Ujjaini Mahankali Goddess temple in Secunderabad on July 21 and 22, and necessary arrangements for that would be made by July 15, he added.
Finally, Bonalu in the Old City would be conducted on July 28, he said.
"We have asked the officials to take steps for providing all the necessary facilities at the pandals near the temples. Power, water, traffic regulation, barricading and security will be taken care of for the devotees. In addition, health camps will be provided at the temples. The GHMC has also spent Rs 22 crore on finetuning the main roads, repairs, power supply, lighting of historic places and monuments, sanitation and about 3 lakhs of drinking water packets," he added.
